They talked about us

Enter the story, Verdun 1916

Built between 1906 and 1908, this small fort protected the south of the Verdun stronghold.

From 1914 to 1918, the structure remained outside the combat zone and was not bombed.

During the Battle of Verdun, it served as a rear base for a garrison of around 100 men.

Looted in 1942 by the occupying forces, it lay abandoned under thick vegetation until 2010.

It was then bought by a team of friends who restored it to its former glory.

Original trenches rehabilitated

A real immersion in the daily life of a soldier at the front.

Tour inside and out: trench, trench line and billet (bivouac), shelters, barracks, latrines, officer's mess, soldier's hostel...

An exceptional visual display, with 30 resin mannequins installed in the galleries and various refurbished premises.
